ARMA LASER RRS-B - RAIL MOUNTED LASER SIGHT FITS: H&K: P2000SK Springfield: XD Compact with 3" barrels (Use the SR1 for 4-5" barrels) Walther: P99C, PPS, P22 The RSS (Reactive Sighting System) is a marvel of modern micro-electronics. Weighing only 0.6 ounce with batteries installed on your pistol, this tiny and sleek touch-activated laser system is specifically designed for the short rails found on many of today's popular sub-compact pistols as well as the graduated rail notches on larger pistols. Lasers like Lasermax's Uni-Max and most others won't fit on these sub-compacts because they are too long. Featuring True Touch Activation, which on the RSS works like a toggle-switch, just all electronically. Extend your finger and touch the silver plated wing tip on either side (ambidextrious) to turn the laser on. Touch it again to turn off. Very simple, streamlined and easy. Its virtually impossible not to touch the strip when you extend your finger and tap the side of the pistol. There is no fumbling around for an akward switch. Your RSS is ready when you are. The RSS's sophisticated electronics recoginize that a human finger has touched it and that is what turns the laser on. There is a 3-minute timer in case you accidentally turn on thelaser in your pocket or holster, it will shut down to conserve batteries. The RSS can be switched between throwing a steady or pulsed beam. Some prefer a pulsed beam as it may be quicker to pick up. Features a very bright next-generation 635nm 4.5mW laser module which is fully adjustable for both windage and elevation and STAYS adjusted no matter how many rounds you fire. The RSS packs all of our laser module technology, touch-activation, and full-sized button cell batteries all in a base that is barely over one inch in length. Excellent battery life as we were able to pack 4 Silver Oxide 386 cells into the tiny RSS housing. These are common and inexpensive batteries found at drug stores, WalMart, Radio Shack, etc. This website also has great deals on German-made Varta versions of the 386. The RSS hugs the bottom of the barrel shroud as closely as possible adding only 0.39 of an inch. This low profile means the RSS will work on a good number of popular holsters readily available for your Springfield XD-9 without modification or a custom holster. The RSS is made from the same DuPont Zytel ST-8018 Engineered Polymer that pistol manufacturers use in their polymer frames, so its as tough as the pistols they are designed for. Drop it or abuse it, the RSS will stay on rock-solid and keep beaming.
